Starting a new workout routine can be overwhelming. Don't worry, we'll make it simple and fun for you.

Trent and Melissa Jorden started Fundamental Fitness because their story was the same story many of our client's face. They too had to overcome all the obstacles that keep people from living a healthy life.

We strive to help every individual gain the capacity to live a fuller and more active life beyond the four walls of our gym. We believe that fitness should enhance your everyday life, enabling you to enjoy activities and adventures with greater energy and confidence.

We are at 1510 Woodland, in the rear of the building where The Hive on Woodland is located, underneath the English Turn bridge on the Woodland corridor.

Working out at the gym isn't easy. But getting there shouldn't be hard. Fundamental Fitness is located and easily accessible from all of Belle Chasse.

Do you provide free refreshments there?

We have filtered water available to our members. Other snacks and drinks are available for purchase.

Do I have to be fit to join?

No! No matter what your current fitness level is, we have the fitness program that is right for you. Every workout is designed to help you succeed, improve fitness, and move you toward your goals. Our program is designed for universal scalability, making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience.

What payment methods do you accept?

We take most methods of payment. Credit/Debit, ACH, etc

What kind of exercises can I expect during a workout?

Our 60-minute classes are designed with varied workouts ranging from 5 to 45 minutes, combining gymnastics, cardio, and weightlifting. Each class begins with a strength or skill segment where you’ll focus on movements like Olympic lifts, deadlifts, squats, or bodyweight exercises. This portion may also include skills such as handstand push-ups. Once the strength or skill work is complete, the session typically moves into a workout tailored to the day’s programming, which can last anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes or longer.

Do I have to stop eating my favorite foods to be healthy?

No! A healthy lifestyle has to be manageable and realistic for the long term. Do enjoy special indulgences and meals! The healthier you are, the healthier you tend to want to eat. You get hooked on feeling good, and junk food just isn’t worth it. By avoiding excessive amounts of refined carbohydrates and measuring your intake of protein, carbohydrates, and fat, you will see dramatic, measurable increases in health.
